Head-turning hatch combines high-style, driving fun, advanced features and tech

TORONTO, ONTARIO – JANUARY 17th, 2022 – Defy convention in the Toyota C-HR – the fun to drive compact crossover. Toyota offers Canadians three trim levels of the 2022 C-HR, all designed to stand out from the crowd.

“Looks, personality, and smarts –that’s the Toyota C-HR,” said Cyril Dimitris, Vice President, Toyota Canada Inc. “Equally at home in the city or for a weekend getaway, the C-HR is the adventurous partner on four wheels that you’ve been looking for.”

Curbside, the C-HR catches eyes and turns heads, with diamond-cut bodylines and a striking grille design capped by LED headlamps. Inside, style blends seamlessly with comfort. The five-person cabin features a piano black dash, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, 4.2” multi-information display and 60/40 split folding rear seats. The six-speaker audio system features an 8” touchscreen display, advanced voice recognition, Bluetooth connectivity, and compatibility with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Under the hood, the C-HR’s spirited performance is built around a powerful yet efficient 2.0L four-cylinder VALVEMATIC engine. With 144 horsepower worth of driving fun plus a fuel efficiency rating of 8.7L/100km city and 7.5L/100km highway, the C-HR will get you where you’re going with a smile on your face and money in your wallet. C-HR’s well-balanced design features advanced handling systems to put the driver in control in every situation, while a multi-setting Drive Mode Select system lets drivers tailor the C-HR’s responsiveness and handling to match the weather and their mood.

A long list of standard safety systems starts with Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 – a bundle of active safety technologies that help extend the driver’s awareness and ability to avoid collisions, or mitigate their effect. Other standard safety features include the Toyota Star Safety System, a back-up camera, tire pressure monitor system, Hill Start Assist Control and 10 air bags.

The C-HR is available in a choice of trim levels, as follows:
