The new Land Cruiser has been redesigned and built upon the TNGA-F global truck platform, shared with both the new Tundra and Sequoia models. It is exclusively powered by the i-FORCE MAX turbocharged 2.4-litre four-cylinder hybrid powertrain, which produces 326 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque. The 2024 model offers buyers more off-road capability, durability, reliability, and comfort that the Land Cruiser, and the Toyota brand, are universally known for. A Global Phenomenon and Off Road Icon Since 1958

With a lengthy heritage, Land Cruiser has long been an off-road icon and this new generation extends that legacy. An all-new front “stabilizer bar disconnect” is standard on Land Cruiser and First Edition grades, and increases flex at the push of a button. Ground clearance is up to 221 millimeters. For off-road protection, Land Cruiser customers can add rock rails and full coverage high strength steel skid plates. For off-road recovery, front tow/recovery hooks are standard. The Land Cruiser 1958 grade comes standard from the factory with fog lamps to aid in overall visibility. The Land Cruiser grade gets upgraded colour selectable RIGID fog lamps.

Multi-Terrain Select, which is now functional in both 4WD-High and 4WD-Low, is standard on the Land Cruiser Grade and offers adjustable settings to help control wheel spin on a variety of terrain such as mud, dirt, and sand. The CRAWL Control function is standard on all grades and acts as a low-speed, off-road cruise control, allowing the driver to simply focus on steering while the system maintains one of five selectable speeds.

Downhill Assist Control is another standard off-road feature which helps the driver navigate descents by limiting the speed of the vehicle. Drivers can also now view potential obstacles that are looming on the trail via the Multi-Terrain Monitor that is clearly displayed on the available 12.3-inch touchscreen, but which comes standard on the Land Cruiser Grade.

DESIGN

The design of the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser seamlessly blends ruggedness with sophistication. It retains its iconic “boxy silhouette”, but with a fresh and contemporary twist. The Land Cruiser 1958 Grade incorporates “Toyota” Heritage Grille and iconic round LED headlamps. The Land Cruiser and Land Cruiser First Edition models feature modern rectangular LED headlamps.

For the signature Land Cruiser look, the 1958 grade features the iconic circular LED headlights and “TOYOTA” heritage grille, while Land Cruiser Grades upgrade to slim, rectangular headlights reminiscent of the FJ62. A squared body profile resembles that of Land Cruisers of old, and the A pillar is pushed back, not only to complement the look, but for better outward visibility on the trails. The front overhang has also decreased for greater approach.

PERFORMANCE

The Land Cruiser is known for its legendary off-road capability. This new model is taken to the next level for its new generation, making it the ultimate adventure machine. All 2024 Land Cruisers are equipped with a full-time four-wheel drive system with a centre locking differential and an electronically controlled two-speed transfer case with high/low range.It’s also equipped with an electronic locking rear differential is standard on all Land Cruisers and can help split power 50/50 to the rear wheels for improved traction control on rough and difficult terrain.

Striking Exterior

Bold Front Fascia: The front grille is wider and more imposing, flanked by LED headlights that feature adaptive lighting for improved visibility in all conditions. The redesigned bumper with integrated fog lights adds to the rugged aesthetic.

Side Profile: The side profile of the Land Cruiser exudes strength with its muscular wheel arches and sharp character lines. The 2024 model sits on larger alloy wheels, which not only enhance its off-road capabilities but also give it a more commanding presence on and off the road.

Beginning with the information screens, a new 8-inch, or available, 12.3-inch multimedia touchscreen displays Toyota’s latest Audio Multimedia system. The system supports wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility, and pairs with the available Qi wireless charging pad with enhanced power output. A Smart Key System with push-button start is standard on all grades. With an active Remote Connect trial or subscription, an available Digital Key connects with compatible smartphones to allow vehicle entry, tailgate access, and vehicle starting (4G network dependent). The Digital Key can also be remotely shared to provide others to give convenient vehicle access rather than having to provide someone a physical key.
